Great Saltpetre Preserve

The Great Saltpetre preserve is the home of a historic limestone cave once mined for saltpetre. The cave is now closed to vistors and managed for historical purposes. The remainder of the grounds consist of a natural preserve consisting mostly of pasture and woodlands in an attempt to preserve a part of Kentucky's natural beauty for generations to come.

IFONet

IFONet is a list intended to be a caver forum for horizontal, vertical or armchair cavers. Whether they reside in or out of TAG Land (TN, AL, GA). The only requirement is that it be caving related somehow.

National Speleological Society

The National Speleological Society (NSS) consists of over 12,000 members and 200 grottoes. It "does more than any other organization to study, explore, and conserve cave and karst resources; protect access to caves; encourage responsible management of caves and their unique environments; and promote responsible caving."

The Boone Karst Conservation Task Force consists of cavers concerned about the future of cave and karst management within the Daniel Boone National Forest.

Rockcastle Karst Conservancy

RKC is non-profit organization dedicated to the education and preservation of caves and karst in the Rockcastle County, Kentucky region.

Robert Coomer is not only the editor of the Electric Caver, but also a professional photographer. He is one of the country's premier cave photographers, and has won NSS contests for his work.
